CURTIS CLIFTON "CURT" JUMPP

JUMPP, CURTIS CLIFTON "CURT" 59 - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away at his home on Friday, April 27, 2012. He was the son of Robert C. and Florence (Rentschler) Jumpp, both of whom predeceased him. Born December 9, 1952 in Atlantic City, Curt lived in Ventnor for most of his life. He graduated from Atlantic City High School and Pfeiffer College in North Carolina. As a child Curt attended Chelsea Baptist Church and later Trinity United Methodist Church. Curt had worked for the hospitality industry at several area hotels and was most recently employed by Flagship Resorts in Brigantine as a marketing representative. Curt enjoyed living at the seashore, traveling, antiques and socializing with friends. He was an animal lover, of cats in particular and was an avid weather watcher. Curtis was also the unofficial family historian, and was well-versed in both the Rentschler and Jumpp family histories. Survivors include brothers Robert, and his wife Cathy of Boynton Beach, FL; and Richard and his wife, Judy, of Chemlsford, MA; his beloved niece and nephew, Laura and Gregory, both of Chelmsford, MA. He is also survived by several dear aunts, uncles, and cousins, residing in New Jersey, Indiana, and Iowa, as well as many close friends and co-workers in the Ventnor area. Visitation will take place Thursday, May 3rd, at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood beginning at 10:00 am followed by services at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Twp.
