I think about David (DD) often. We would be having some intense conversations right now with the way the world is turning. Everything he always said has come to pass. I missed DD and my sister (Janet) so much when I was dealing with my cancer. He wouldn't have given a second thought about watching over me and caring for me. DD was a big part in my life and my families life. His kindness, caring and sharing. I so miss his sweet potato pie and apple pie. He always made one of each for me and my mom. And his chili....never never will I ever have anything like his again. That too he always made extra for me and mom. He loved my whole family and we all loved him. I was in South Carolina when Dave passed and I was so sorry not being able to say my last good-bye. Can't wait to see you again David when the Lord thinks it's my time to do so.

Dear Janet and beloved family members and friends. I had the opportunity to finally meet David a few years ago and spent a few times in his company since. I was blessed to have met David and get to know his gentleness and welcoming smile and for a giant personality with a strong presence. He opened his heart and his home as though we had known each other for years. The one thing we shared and I will always remember so fondly is when I helped him barb Q his "Famous David's Ribs" as he specifically instructed me to flip & spray at the exact moment. He allowed me to use his kitchen as if it were my own which is was so enjoyable. But when I got his complements on my baked beans and he wanted the recipe and was so flattered. It was an honor to have known him and had him as part of the Family. My Love and Prayers Janet and to all!
Love,
Esther

Janet and The Dupree Family...
I am so sorry to here of your loss. David was such a unique person. Janet he loved you so much as he shared with me via telephone. There was never a time that i called to speak to you when David didn't answer and strike up a conversation about religion, church or church folks. I fondly gave him the nickname Deacon. David I will forever miss your humor and laughter.
Janet, know that earth has no sorrow, that heaven can not heal and
to be absent in body is to be present with the lord.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well David you sure found a good way to get Janet and I talking again. Leave it to you as always. And don't worry I promised you and Syl that I would watch over her. I will keep that promise brother-in-law. Hea, Josh found a bunch of that stuff you hid. We had a good laugh over that. Thank you David for loving and taking care of my Sis all these years. And for being such a good substitute dad for my Josh. And a great grandpop to my Ashley. They are going to miss you very much. And Syl well I know you are both laughing together and probably doing the gig up there. I love you brother-in-law. I will miss all the phone messages you always left me. Till we meet again.. You will be in our hearts forever. Hopey

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THE TIME WE WENT FISHING AT THE COOPER RIVER. WE ONLY HAD ONE ROD,WE USED A CAN AND A STRING WITH A HOOK ON THE LINE. WE WERE LISTENING TO THE RADIO AND DANCING. WHEN THE FISH HIT IT KNOCKED THE RADIO OVER BUT WE CAUGHT IT BEFOR IT FELL INTO THE WATER AND THAT DAY WE LANDED ONE OF THE BIGGEST CARP WE EVER CAUGHT!!!
