Domenic Berenato Obituary
November 23, 2025
94 of Hammonton, N.J. passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Virtua Hospital in Marlton, N.J., with his loving family by his side. He was born and raised in Hammonton and graduated from Hammonton High School in 1949. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the USS Midway and thereafter was a member of the Frank M. Calletta American Legion Post #186 of Hammonton. He owned and operated Dual Motors Ford Mercury Inc. from 1967 to 1983. He had a love for classic automobiles and was a member of the Ford Race Team. Domenic was a pilot and enjoyed boxing, bowling and traveling. He was an avid Phillies Fan and a member of the Knights of Columbus. His greatest joy was spending time with his 4 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Domenic and Julia Berenato; his two brothers, Joseph and his wife Mary; Charles and his wife Rita and his sister, Catherine Cushinotto and her husband Benjamin. Domenic is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Vincentina Berenato (nee Parisi); two sons, Domenic and his wife Karen, and Michael and his wife Elizabeth. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Brianna, Ashley, and Michael Berenato and Alisa Rosa (Jesse). A special thank you goes out to Dr. Stephen Nurkiewicz for his dedication and medical support throughout the many years, and to his caring and compassionate aide, Luz Echevaria.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 8 to10 a.m. at the Marinella Funeral Home, 102 N. Third Street, Hammonton, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish-St. Joseph Church, Third and French Streets. Burial will follow at Greenmount Cemetery, 124 S. First Rd., Hammonton, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Domenic's name to the charity of your choice. To share a condolence, please visit marinellafuneralhome.com.
