When I received the call that Uncle Donald had passed, different emotions ran through my mind. This could not be possible, Uncle Donald was invincible, bigger than life, yet the reality is he is gone, however, his memory will live forever in the depts of my mind and i'm sure all of yours. My first thoughts were that the light had gone out in the world, until that moment I am not sure I fully appreciated. Now there is an empty space, where once a man worked, played, attended to his car and motorcycle, enjoyed tv, a good horror movie and a great rollercoaster ride. Its a very large void, not so much because his physical presence is now gone, but more because the way he shared himself, was something that filled us all with the sence that we were someone special to him as special as he was to all of us, and that space can never be filled by another person. In closing, I'd like to suggest something to you. Don't mourn; don't be sad, he wouldn't have wanted that, instead remember the good times: remember his laughter, remember his crooked smile, his lazy eye, remember him happily and remember him often. Now THAT is how he would want us to feel. Until we meet again, ur Neice.

Dear Diehl Family,
I have just found out about Don's passing. We lived a few homes down the street from your family a few years back and got to know both Don & Nikki well in our time there. We are so sorry to hear about this and hope you know that we may not have seen you we did think about your family. We pray your family know that he is always with you all and will keep you in his arms.

Well cuz I don’t know how to say what I’m feeling right now but I’m going to try …..I’m hurting so much inside my heart it is so heavy right now with so much anger and pain, I don’t understand and never will till we meet again one day. I will miss telling you things and you looking at me with that face, like I know what you’re talking about I have been there before, but telling me it will be ok th...at you have been there before. I will say it Don... cause I know you can handle it ... I'm ticked off. That doesn't stop me from missing you, even if I haven't seen you in a few years. You were still my cousin and now I will only have pictures and memories to look back on. Im grateful for those. Nikki, Garry, Aunt Barb... all the kids and family.... my heart especially breaks for you... the loss your dealing with... the pain. My prayers will continue for all of you!!! May God heal your hearts in ways we can't begin to fathom!
