Dr. Hammer was one of the two best men I have ever had the honor of knowing. He began as my psychologist, then became my employer, and, ultimately, the best "father figure" I could ever dream of having. All as a result of a severe motor vehicle accident I was involved in at the age of 15. He was there for me with his profound and extraordinary style of counseling/therapy, both individually and with groups, guiding me out of some very dark and horrible circumstances that I encountered in life. He opened his home to me and shared familial events with me as well. To say I will miss him is an understatement, equal to the size of our universe. I sincerely don't know where I would be had I not ever met Dr. Hammer. The impact and influence he, as well as his family, had on my life was immense. I am forever grateful and truly honored that my life was touched by this fine man. With a broken heart, I send condolences to his sweet family. Find comfort in the exceptional services he provided to me, the courts and community. RIP my good man. Thank you for always being there for me. I know I could not have done it without you.

It was impossible to be within Dr. Hammer's vicinity and not be affected by the calm aura he possessed. Eternally sunny, positive, and witty, Dr. Hammer was one of the most caring persons that I've been blessed with the opportunity to encounter. The miracles that he worked upon myself and my family are absolutely unimaginable, and that's what we'll remember him by. We owe our lives as we know them today to Dr. Hammer, and may God bless him and his wonderful and supportive family. He has touched us all.

I only knew Doc for a short time, and he made an impression on me that will last forever. I'll never forget the last time I saw him. He had ordered lunch, and I had the standard plain bagel with smoked turkey, provolone and roasted peppers! He brought peace to my life, and an understanding of life I'd never have known, albeit for him. He was a professional, but moreseo, my friend. My colleagues and I will miss him greatly.

When I think of Dr. Hammer I feel a sense of strength that followed him everywhere. It was/is such a blessing to have been his Assistant and to work for him on a daily basis. I learned so much from him, daily. We laughed together, cried, and understood each other. I could finish his sentences, and I knew what he needed from me before he asked. He knew he could count on me to the fullest extent to assist him at the work place and beyond. He was so demanding of my time and I feel such a void now, but I will continue to work for him because I know thats what he would want me to do. I will miss him and I will carry a coat of honor to have been blessed to know him and to work for him.
