Edward L. Fulton

Fulton, Edward L., - 88, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born August 24, 1934 in Franklin, N.J. He originally lived in South Plainfield, N.J., raised his family in Middlesex, N.J., headed south to Lecanto, Fla. for 13 years before returning to New Jersey after retiring to be close with his grandchildren.

Ed was a family man by all means. He absolutely cherished his wife Terry and despite a rigorous work schedule he always found time to comfort and pamper his two children, including many family road trips…creating memories that will be cherished forever. He adored his two grandchildren, indulging them with love. Ed also was an animal lover and found delight in caring for the family's many pets throughout the years. He graduated from North Plainfield High School and worked at Apgar Brothers Trucking in Bound Brook, N.J. for 36 years. Later he was employed at Andres Country Club in Hernando, Fla. for 13 years before retiring in 2001. He was a veteran and served in the US Army Intelligence Group for two terms: 1957 to 1959, and 1961 to 1962 and achieved the rank of SP-5. Ed was a member of the American Legion and St. Gianna's Parish.

Survivors include his loving wife, Theresa, of 67 years, his son Ernest Fulton of Honolulu, Hawaii, his daughter Karen Walrond of Linwood, N.J., his sister Dorothy Garrahan of Tampa, Fla., and grandchildren Aliena and Alex Walrond.

A celebration of life is planned for Wednesday, May 24th at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd. in Linwood, NJ. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we know Ed would love for donations to be sent to the Humane Society via donations@humanesocietyac.org or the American Heart Association via ww2.heart.org.
