Edward "Eddie" Gant

1952 - 2024

Gant, Edward (Eddie), - 71, of Egg Harbor Township, suddenly passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, at the age of 71. He is survived by his wife, Susen; his son and daughter-in-law, Gabriel and Kierstin; his son, Mathew; his daughter, Andrea; his two beloved grandchildren, Lyla and Jaxson. He also leaves behind his sister and brother, Lee Ann and Paul, and many cherished family and friends.

Eddie was a lifelong South Jersey resident. He was born in Pleasantville, grew up in Absecon and remained a fisherman and bay rat for life which he passed on to his son Mathew. Eddie was a steadfast member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 351. He began his apprenticeship in the spring of 1974 and retiring as the organization's Business Manager. Throughout his career, he was a dedicated advocate for the lives and careers of IBEW Local 351 members as well as all organized labor. (CRDA), Eddie's love of, and faith in, Atlantic City was unwavering. Eddie lived his life his way, on his terms, and to the fullest touching a lot of lives along the way. He might not have taken the path of least resistance, but it was a path of his truths believing in the power of people and their ability for change. He was always there to lend an ear or a hand to anyone.

Edward Gant's legacy is one of hard work, dedication to family, and unwavering commitment to the betterment of his community and the working people of South Jersey. His memory will be cherished and respected by all who knew him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2024 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. A service will follow at 2 p.m. at Adams-Perfect Funeral Homes, Inc. 1650 New Road Northfield, NJ 08225.
