Edward Perugini Obituary
January 26, 1946 - July 23, 2024
Edward Perugini, 78, died on July 23, 2024, after a brief illness. Ed spent his life in Richland, NJ. After graduating from St. Augustine Preparatory School in 1964, he graduated from Villanova University ('69) and later earned a Masters in Public Administration from Rutgers University. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. But nothing made him happier than spending time with his beloved wife and family. He is survived by his wife, Betsy (Elizabeth) Perugini; his children, Lori DeMatte and Jill Perugini; his granddaughter, Kelsey DeMatte Rahl (Justin); and his siblings, Bob Perugini and Pat Born. He is predeceased by his parents, Nello and Nellie Perugini; and his brother-in-law, Herb Born.
A funeral home visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m., from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Final disposition will be private. Arrangements are under the supervision of Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland, NJ 08360. Donations in memory of Ed may be made to the "Ed Perugini '64 Memorial Fund" c/o St. Augustine Preparatory School, 611 Cedar Avenue, Richland, NJ 08350. Betsy and Family, We are so saddened by the loss of a truly kind and generous man. We didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted together, but when we did, it was as if time stood still. The memories always came rushing back and filled us both with joy. I know he's at peace with our Lord and some day we will be reunited. My prayers are with you and your family. Just know how much he was loved by anyone who touched his life.
