ELIZABETH THOMPSON Obituary

THOMPSON, ELIZABETH C. 91 - of Linwood, passed away on October 9, 2010. Elizabeth was born and raised in Atlantic City as the youngest child of John and Sarah Cowan. She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 60 years, Henry; her parents John and Sarah Cowan; her sisters Dorothy Mooney and Catherine Brown; and her brother John Cowan. While Henry served in the US Army, they resided in many places including Washington, Texas, Hawaii and Japan for over 20 years. After the completion of duty, they returned and lived in Northfield. She has resided for the past five years at Brandall Estates. She is survived by her son, Richard of Linwood and will be deeply missed by her nieces and nephews and her good friends at Brandall. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 13th at 11:30 am at the Atlantic Co. Veterans Cemetery at Estell Manor Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central United Methodist Church, Central Avenue, Linwood, NJ 08221. Arrangements by the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home.
