ERNEST PENSA

PENSA, ERNEST 85 - of Vineland, NJ passed away on Monday morning November 25, 2013 at the home of his daughter where he had just started hospice care. Mr. Pensa was born & raised in Vineland where he remained a lifelong city resident. He was the husband of the late Marie Shirley (Scott) Pensa who died in 2005. He was also pre deceased by his brothers Mike & John Pensa. Mr. Pensa was a graduate of Vineland High School where he enjoyed participating in Track & Field. He received several medals and also set several school records. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his service to the country he began a lifelong career working as a carpenter. He retired after many years of service with Stanker & Galetto Inc. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and enjoyed working outside with his hands gardening, wood working & giving of himself to his family. He is survived by his four children, Robert Pensa, Tuscon, AZ, Donald Pensa, Pittsgrove, NJ, Holly Dobrzenski & her husband Christopher, Tuscon, AZ Aimee Ingegneri, Mays Landing, NJ; four grandchildren, Robert Pensa, Jr., Kevin & Amanda Pensa & Nicholas Ingegneri; a great-granddaughter; Jasmine Marie Pensa; as well as several nieces & nephews. Relatives & friends will be received on Saturday November 30, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Rd., Vineland, NJ where his funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Siloam Cemetery, Vineland, NJ.
