Frances Vanzin Obituary
November 12, 1933 - October 28, 2025
Frances J. Vanzin, 91, of Brigantine passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday October 28, 2025. Fran was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Walter and Frances (Abrams) Krego. She was a graduate of Perry High School in Pittsburgh. She loved watching all sports, especially her teams from Pittsburgh.
Fran moved to Brigantine in 1970. She was employed at Caesars Hotel and Casino in the soft count department. She also worked for the County at the original Brigantine Community Center as a coordinator of the senior lunch program. After her retirement she volunteered at the new Community Center where she helped organize the twice weekly bingo games.
Fran loved working in her yard going to the beach and playing bingo. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and the Young at Heart Club. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends at the Brigantine Community Center. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.
Fran is survived by her daughters Cynthia Bowers (Gerald), Sandra Hoch (Mark); and her son Robert Vanzin. She is also survived by her grandchildren Heather, Chris, Stacy, Michael; and her great-grandchildren, Faith, Conner, Ema, Dylan, Carter, Kyla, and Miles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Life Celebration and visitation for Fran on Sunday November 9, 2025 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, 1501 W. Brigantine Ave Brigantine. A Memorial Service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be held privately in Altoona, Pa., at the family's convenience.
