1951 - 2021
Engelhardt, Gary Michael, - 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was of the Catholic faith. Gary was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School, Class of 1969 in Atlantic City, NJ. Gary went on after school and served his country in the United States Navy from 1970-1976. He graduated with an AS in Electrical Engineering from Chattanooga State and worked at TVA in their information systems division as a computer technician. Gary was an avid Hang Gliding enthusiast and was a member of the U.S. Hang Gliding Association. He was involved also in the local Hang Gliding communities in Lookout Mountain and in the Sequatchie Valley. Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles, windsurfing, kayaking, and also scuba diving. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Barbara Engelhardt. Left behind to cherish Gary's memory are his loving wife, Pamela G. Harvey, Chattanooga, brothers, Donald (Camille) Engelhardt, Mays Landing, NJ., Steven (Tina Geithner) Engelhardt, Spokane, WA., and Patrick Engelhardt, Athol, ID., and a sister, Maribeth (Mike) Greenslade, Phoenix, AZ., and many dear friends. Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Gary's Life will be planned for a future date to be announced. It was so good to see you at our 50th class reunion in August 2019. I was glad that you spent many years hang gliding which seemed to be your passion and fun life. Till we all meet again. Rest in Peace. Gary.

I remember in grade school at st. Nicholas in Egg Harbor city. Gary was one of the nicest classmates and funniest. A great piano player. May he Rest In Peace
