Engelhardt, Gary Michael, - 69, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was of the Catholic faith. Gary was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School, Class of 1969 in Atlantic City, NJ. Gary went on after school and served his country in the United States Navy from 1970-1976. He graduated with an AS in Electrical Engineering from Chattanooga State and worked at TVA in their information systems division as a computer technician. Gary was an avid Hang Gliding enthusiast and was a member of the U.S. Hang Gliding Association. He was involved also in the local Hang Gliding communities in Lookout Mountain and in the Sequatchie Valley. Gary enjoyed riding motorcycles, windsurfing, kayaking, and also scuba diving. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Barbara Engelhardt. Left behind to cherish Gary's memory are his loving wife, Pamela G. Harvey, Chattanooga, brothers, Donald (Camille) Engelhardt, Mays Landing, NJ., Steven (Tina Geithner) Engelhardt, Spokane, WA., and Patrick Engelhardt, Athol, ID., and a sister, Maribeth (Mike) Greenslade, Phoenix, AZ., and many dear friends. Due to the pandemic, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Gary's Life will be planned for a future date to be announced.
