George Ardelean Obituary

ARDELEAN, GEORGE PETER, 78 - a native of Philadelphia passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2006 in Lake Worth, Florida where he has been living since 1995 with his loving wife, Temeh. George proudly served his country in the Occupation of Japan during World War II. After returning to the U.S., George continued to protect and serve as a Philadelphia Police Officer. In 1964, he married his longtime sweetheart, Temeh Needle. In 1972, George, Temeh and their six children relocated to Ventnor. While residing in Ventnor, George worked for many years as a security guard at the Golden Nugget and Trump Plaza. Although George proudly served his country and community, he was most proud of his children and grandchildren. George loved spending time with his growing family and was very involved in their lives. He was a referee and umpire for Bucks County school athletics, Atlantic City High School and was involved with Ventnor Little League. George carried his love for family and athletics over to the next generation with his continued involvement with his grandchildren's sporting activities. Moving to Florida in 1995 George quickly determined he wasn't ready to retire, therefore he continued to protect the public as a Security Guard for Lake Worth City Hall. George was active with the Jewish War Veterans, Post 440, member of Shomrim of Philadelphia and Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police. George led a very happy and productive life. He easily found the positive in every situation, had a contagious smile and an aura of love that surrounded him. He will be missed by all, but has left many good memories with family, friends, associates and co-workers. George is survived by his wife Temeh of 42 years, his children; Paul & Sharon Ardelean, Rhonda Ardelean, Harris and Christina Ardelean, Sandy and Nick Nouragas, Liz and Lee Diamondstein and Hillary and Stephen Cianci. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; ranging in age from 29 years to four months. Misti, Cristin, Nick, Jamie, Phylicia, Matthew, Nicole, Stephanie, Michael, Thomas, Joey, Jacob, Emily, and Jack. He is also survived by many other loving family members and countless friends. Services were held on Wednesday, November 22, 2006. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to: The Jewish War Veterans Post 440, PO BOX 741993, Boynton Beach, FL 33474. For those that would like to sit Shivah with the family, please join them on Sunday in Linwood. For more information on Shivah details, please call (609) 517-8751.
