Gerald E. Trought

1944 - 2022

Trought, Gerald E., - 78, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed after a brief illness on November 10, 2022 at AtlantiCare City Campus. Gerald was born on August 27, 1944. After High School and some College, Gerald enlisted as a Private E-1 in the US Marine Corp, serving in Vietnam from 1965-1971. He received 4 service medals and was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. Gerald was a 50 year member of the Laborers Union of America 1969. His most recent employer was Arthur Henry. In his retirement Gerald enjoyed coffee with "The Romeos" at the Somers Point McDonalds as well as visiting the casinos with his longtime friend and companion, Doris Andrews. Doris predeceased him by one week. Ms. Andrews son, Sam Muffrey, also grieves his loss. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service which will be held at Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell Manor on Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 2pm.
