Matthews, Hannah J., - 95, of Pleasantville, entered heaven peacefully on July 8, 2021 after battling Parkinson's Disease for years. She was born December 22, 1925 to John Mathis and Martha MacIntyre and raised in Pleasantville, NJ. She was a retired Bell Telephone operator where she started working at the age of 16. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. She was also a devoted member of her church, Bethany St. John's United Methodist Church in Pleasantville, NJ. She was blessed to live her last eight years in a four generation home with her daughter, granddaughter, and great-grandchildren. Her friends and family knew her as a lively woman who loved Jesus. She also had a mean sweet tooth. To say she will be deeply missed is an understatement. Please join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, July 17th at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home in Northfield, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethany St. John's United Methodist Church (615 Risley Ave., Pleasantville, NJ) or Blood donation to American Red Cross due to Blood Shortages.
