H. Wayne Barbetti

December 19, 2025

Harry Wayne Barbetti (Wayne), 85, passed peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025 in Sewell, N.J.

Wayne was formerly of Vineland and Millville, N.J., and St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. He was a graduate of Vineland High School and the University of Pennsylvania. A licensed funeral director, Wayne owned and operated Barbetti Funeral Home in Millville, NJ alongside his beloved wife, Anne.

Upon retirement, Wayne and Anne embraced a life split between St. Thomas, USVI, and their home in Ocean City, N.J. Wayne was a proud member of the Ocean City Yacht Club and cherished an active lifestyle. He loved the beach and the sun and was well known for swimming laps daily in Magens Bay while in St. Thomas, or riding his tandem bike along the Ocean City Boardwalk with Anne. Whether playing racquetball, walking the beach, traveling, working out at the gym in Ocean City, or enjoying evenings of dining and dancing, Wayne lived life fully and joyfully. One of his favorite dining spots was Jon & Patty's in Ocean City, a place he especially loved.

Wayne was deeply committed to his community. During his years in Millville, he was actively involved in civic activities and served as a member of the Knights of Columbus. Together with Anne, he was also devoted to supporting the American Cancer Society.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Anne Dehnel Barbetti, who passed in 2021. Their partnership was one of love, shared adventure, and dedication to family, friends and community.

In accordance with Wayne's wishes, entombment was private in Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Vineland. Arrangements by Barr Funeral Home, Millville, N.J.
