Jim also had a great musical ear and could play keyboards. Jim and his buddy Phil wrote a song famous to cable employees of our ilk called "Kenwood". He appeared on television in a "pit band" with me, Phil, and Ken Sooy for a weekly variety show on channel 2. He also had a skill for programming computers back in the day when they were just beginning to be used in homes. He wrote a program in BASIC that the cable company used in hotels to purchase pay for view movies on a TRS-80 Radio Shack computer that took two floppy drives to run it.
