Jane Marie (Mooney) Quigley

Quigley, Jane Marie (nee Mooney), 85, died October 19, 2025. Born in Atlantic City, and a resident of Haddonfield, NJ for 50 years. Beloved wife of Thomas for over 50 years; mother of Kathleen Grimm (Robert) of Westmont, NJ, Thomas of Longport, NJ, Matthew (Karen) of New Orleans, LA, and Jane of Margate, NJ. She was a loving grandmother, "Muzzy", to Lucy, Max, David, Camille, Nora, Maggie and Luke. She loved being "Aunt Jane" or "Big J" to her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, that she adored. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Hannah Mooney; siblings, Edward, John, and Theresa; and survived by sister, Alice Mooney. Jane was a graduate of Holy Spirit High School and an avid swimmer, who won a scholarship to college for swimming. As a teen, Jane could be found swimming laps between Million Dollar Pier and Steel Pier in Atlantic City. She instilled a love of the ocean in all her children and there are countless memories of spending time with friends and family on the beach in Margate. Jane was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Parish in Haddonfield. She enjoyed golf and tennis at the Haddon Field Club and Tavistock Country Club, where she made lifelong friends. Jane was a dedicated Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Eagles. She loved to travel with her large family, especially spending time in Europe when her son, Matthew and his family lived in France. She never missed a play, concert or sporting event where her grandchildren were involved. A viewing will be held on Friday, October 24, from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11 a.m., at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Burial will be private at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
