John "Jack" Edward Bogda Jr.

John "Jack" Edward Bogda, Jr. passed away on December 4, 2025, in Atlantic City, New Jersey. He was born to John and Margaret Bogda, Sr. on October 21, 1938. Jack was the couple's firstborn and only son. He was followed by sisters Judith and June. Jack spent his formative years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Jack later attended Duquesne University where he met Anne Louise "Nancy" Haffert. After a brief courtship, the two married on April 6, 1963. They settled in Southern New Jersey and had five children, Tracy, Erik, Kerri, Sean and Todd. Jack worked for various companies before venturing out on his own, beginning a long career in management consulting. Jack loved playing sports including basketball and golf and spent many hours cheering on his numerous grandchildren at their own athletic games. Jack was a competitive person and loved playing cards and board games with his children. In his later years, Jack met his constant companion, Kathy Miller, who were together for over 20 years. Jack and Kathy loved to travel, and Jack loved to regale his family with stories from his excursions. Jack was still working for himself as an advertising consultant at the time of his passing. Jack is survived by his longtime companion Kathy Miller, children Tracy Schultz (husband Jim), Erik Bogda (wife Rosina), Kerri Bogda, Sean Bogda (wife Sandra) and Todd Bogda (wife Gina). His sixteen grandchildren are Alexander Schultz (wife Lauren), Austin Schultz (wife Taylor), Hayley Schultz, Griffin Schultz, Sophia Schultz, Alicia DiPierro Bogda, Tyler Bogda, Paige Bogda, Juliana Bogda, Luisa Bogda, Celeste Bogda, Carson Bogda, Nadia Bogda, Brady Bogda, Emily Bogda, and Owen Bogda. He had four great-grandchildren, Mason Schultz, Harrison Schultz, Jaxon Schultz, and Vienna Silveira with another on the way. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, 591 New Jersey Avenue, Absecon, New Jersey.
