Bill and Helen, Paul and Merlyn, I can not even put into words how heart broken I am for you and and all of your family and the lives that John has touched. It is unfortunate that even though we are family, our lives have separated us and I never got to know your children. Having said that, the 2 instances that I did have the opportunity to meet and interact with John was when my Dad passed and he was the Funeral Director. I instantly knew he was a good man! He made that day so special for us. I can tell from the comments that he is very lived and will surely be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family! Love Cindy Walker

I remember when I first met Jonathan several years ago when as member of Last Salute it was a Veterans Funeral service & he was with Adams Perfect. I thought he was 15 or so. Boy was I wrong. At any rate he had a way about him that made ya just feel comfortable & at ease. I can see him in my mind's eye when we would meet at a service, he had this way of cocking his head back, give a sly grin & say "Hey Rich how ya doing". He had an impact on all he met. I consider it an HONOR to have known this young man. RIP

John and I dated briefly in high school. He was one of the sweetness, most gentle and kind human beings I have ever known.
His love for his family and friends was unmatched... and his love for cars, well, everyone knew how much he loved cars!
My favorite memories with John were going to his parents house during lunch and our off period in the afternoon of the fall of our senior year. We would watch the King of Queens and laugh hysterically, and then return to Mainland to finish out the day before our respective cross country practices.
On one beautiful crisp fall night we had dinner with his family, who always treated me with the utmost kindness. I loved the feeling of being so appreciated and comfortable with them, and it is something I have always cherished and have continued to keep those memories very close to my heart.
John will be remembered for how sweet he was to anyone who crossed paths with him.
I´ll never forget the moment when he asked me to be his girlfriend and how in that moment, and for those few months, he was the best and most exciting thing that had ever happened to me.
Rest in Paradise, Officer Scull... you already are and will always be tremendously missed!

I had the pleasure of knowing Johnathan as a student at Northfield Community School and the privilege of working with him as a police officer. He was often at school and would always take time to stop and talk to the students. In June he took part in our Community Service assembly with all the second grade students. He was eager to speak to the them about his job and answer all their questions, even the silly ones. Johnathan always had a smile on his face. That is what I will remember most.
