Joseph Cusato Obituary
October 7, 1994 - September 20, 2024
Joseph Francis Cusato, age 29, tragically left us on September 20, 2024.
He was born in Princeton, NJ on October 7, 1994, the beloved and precious son of Kerry Furtis and Steven Cusato. Joe grew up in Upper Township where he played Little League Baseball until age 14. Joe graduated from Ocean City High School in 2013 where he excelled academically, particularly in math and science. Joe lettered in both Crew and Golf. One of Joe's many accomplishments include a hole-in-one at Cape May National Golf Club.
In 2018, Joe received his B.S. in Natural Resources-Paper Science and Engineering from North Carolina State University. He was a proud member of The Wolfpack and Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity - Nu Sigma Chapter.
To know Joe was to love him. Joe was very laid back, smart and quick-witted with a dry sense of humor. His warm smile lit up the room. He loved spending time with his friends, listening to music and hanging out at the beach. He was masterful at strategically beating his opponents at any board game and had awesome Ping Pong skills. Joe deeply loved his family and friends. He loved his dogs Max and Duke, as he did all animals. From a young age, Joe LOVED cars. His greatest passion was to work on his BMW, which he spent many hours over the years restoring.
Joe is deeply loved and missed by his father Steven Cusato, mother Kerry Furtis and her husband Kyle; grandparents Gerri and Joseph Cusato, grandmother Barbara Reed; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will be receiving visitors at the Godfrey Funeral Home Palermo in Palermo, NJ, on Monday, September 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.
