Joseph H. "Jake" Jiacopello

JIACOPELLO, JOSEPH H., "Jake" 85 - of Margate, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, October 10, 2006. Born and raised in Pleasantville, he attended Pleasantville Public Schools. He honorably served this country in the US Army during World War II. He was the owner of Colonial Upholstery in Pleasantville for over 40 years. He was an active member of Kiwanis, serving as President of Pleasantville Club in 1977 and Lieutenant Governor of NJ District 1991-1992. He was a member of Sons of Italy Meucci Lodge and Unico International. He was a member of St. Michael's Church in Atlantic City. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golf, and riding his bike on the boardwalk. He is predeceased by three brothers and one sister. Joe is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joanne T. Jiacopello; his daughter Linda and son-in-law Lorenzo Tuccinardi of Egg Harbor Township; daughter Joanne M. Jiacopello of Atlantic City; and granddaughter Lisa Milstead and husband Jerry of Northfield and two sisters-in-law, Patricia Jiacopello of Jacksonville, FL and Diana Jiacopello of Longport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at St. Michaels R.C. Church, 10 N. Mississippi Avenue, Atlantic City at 10:30am. Friends are invited to visit with the family at 9am until the start of the service at the church. Entombment will be on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Holy Cross Cemetery.
