Josephine Turi Obituary
TURI, JOSEPHINE J. 85 - of Egg Harbor City, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Pre deceased by husband, Dominic Turi and son-in-law Jack Cordivari, also parents and 10 brothers and sisters. Survived by only daughter, Antoinette Cordivari, grandchildren, James Cordivari, Dominic Cordivari (Eleanor), and Dean Cordivari (Sheryl), great grandchildren, Natalie Cordivari, Jack Cordivari, Nicholas Cordivari, Gianna Cordivari, Sophia Josephine Cordivari, Dominique Cordivari and Danielle Cordivari, her sister Rita Rehmann and Bernard Levy, her partner of 13 years. Josephine and her husband owned and operated Turi's Cleaners in Woodlynne and Merchantville, for many years. Josephine loved to play poker at the Tropicana Casino and actually participated in many tournaments. She will always be remembered for her many years spent in Brigantine at the Pirate's Den Restaurant, helping her daughter and son in-law, former owners of the restaurant. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11:00 am at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 591 New Jersey Ave, Absecon. Friends may call Monday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the Mass at the church on Monday morning. Entombment will be Monday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing. Toni and Boys~
I am sorry to hear about Josie, as soon as I think about her I instantly remember the Pirate's Den and how she would get mad if you did not deliver her order if she was busy (she would say, no one can help me I have all these tables) but if you did deliver her order, (she would say I can handle all my own tables.) Pops cooking the Chip Beef at 6:30 in the morning. That memory makes me smile.
She loved her family and was so proud of her daughter, grandsons, and greatgrandchildren. She always put her family first and I will always remember that!

Dear Antoinette and family,
We are saddened to hear that Aunt Josie has passed away. Our condolences to you and your family. We will always remember the fun times we spent at the shore house and the special dinners we shared on your mom and dads yearly visits to Florida. The Daytona 500 weekend was especially memorable.
