JUDITH FERRANTE Obituary
FERRANTE, JUDITH (NEE BRUNO), "JUDY" 82 - of Cape May, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 14, 2010 with her family at her side. She was born in Houlton, Maine, the beloved daughter of the late Catharine S. and Theodore P. Bruno. She was raised in Pompton Plains, during which time she attended Butler High School and was graduated from New Jersey City University with a degree in Biology and Nursing. She and her late husband, Anthony Ferrante, first settled in the Essex and Morristown areas where she was employed by the West Essex Public Health Nursing Association in Verona. While raising their family she was a part-time substitute nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital. The family moved to Cape May in 1962 where she served as a school nurse in the W. Cape May, Cape May City and Middle Twp. school districts until 1994. She was a member of the Cape May Tennis Club and enjoyed playing Bridge and word games. Judith is pre-deceased by her husband Anthony D. Ferrante (1990) and her daughter Linda (2009). She is survived by sons Richard (and Betty), Kenneth (and Lynette) and Theodore. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Christopher, Brian, Nicole, Katherine and Alyssa. At Judy's request, graveside funeral services were held privately Tuesday (March 16th) at the Cape May County Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to: Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Rt. 9 N., Swainton, NJ 08210. (Sudak-Danaher F.H., Cape May)

Judy always picked me to be her cashier at Rio Grande Shoprite. So did Linda. Judy was a great great woman. I will miss her very much. Especially our little chats, and always seeing her familiar friendly face smiling at me. Please feel comfort knowing she is at peace now. Linda was so very great!!!
