Margaret W. "Peggy" Morie

1938 - 2023

Morie (nee Waldinger), Margaret W. "Peggy", - 85, of Vineland, New Jersey, passed away at home on Sunday, October 22, 2023, where she has been under the care of family & hospice. Peggy was born in Cape May Court House, New Jersey and raised in Vineland. Peggy had resided in Arizona for several years before returning back to Vineland where she remained a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late Albert J. & Helen A. (Stites) Waldinger, Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jesse T. "Jay" Morie on Sunday, October 8, 2023, brother; Albert J. Waldinger III, nephew; Albert J. Waldinger, IV, and sister in-law; Grace E. Morie-Madigan.

Peggy was a graduate of Vineland High School and the Catherine Gibbs Business School. She started her working career with Prudential and had also worked at the Cumberland County College and Venice Maid. She went on to work for the NCSA-Charlie Becker Securities selling stocks and bonds. She was a co-owner of Jay Morie Electric and enjoyed working with her husband, Jay, in the operation of their Electrical Construction business. Peggy enjoyed going to the beach and visiting the seashore. In her younger years she enjoyed playing basketball, volleyball & tennis. She was a longtime active member of the First United Methodist Church of Vineland.

Peggy is survived by her two step daughters; Tracy (Les) Dutton, Gaye (Andy) Popi, five grandchildren; Meghan, Addison & Stephen, Elena & Andrea, a chosen daughter, Rev. Yeika Huertas Roman and her brother's widow, Patricia Amico, as well as several nieces & nephews.

Relatives & friends will be received on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church, 700 E. Landis Avenue, Vineland, New Jersey, 08360, where her funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow in the Siloam Cemetery, Vineland, New Jersey.
