Mazabel, Maria Enelia, - 84, of Pleasantville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at her home on February 12, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. Maria Was born in Florencia, Colombia. Maria Enelia moved to the United States in November of 1993. She worked at Bally's Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City since March of 1997 and continued working hard until her last days of life. She was very committed to her job and never complained. She will be always remembered as a very responsible, dedicated, independent and hardworking lady. Maria was a very friendly person who enjoyed hosting parties for her family and friends. She loved cooking and sharing her delicious foods with everybody. She also loved gardening. She loved plants and flowers of all kind she also enjoyed her birds, Especially her amazon bird Rebeca. Maria Enelia worked extremely hard raising her children. She played the role of mother and father in a time when the economic situation was not easy. Despite these struggles, she always managed to provide for her loved ones, leaving all her family with such a great example of life. She faced many hardships and overcame them. She was fearless and never gave up when difficulties came her way, Always with a smile on her face. Maria is survived by her four children Hernando Mazabel, from Cali, Colombia Johnny Mazabel, his wife Yolanda, (Absecon, New Jersey) Rafael Mazabel (Urena,Venezuela) and Gloria Amparo Panameno and her husband Jorge (Northfield, New Jersey), by her sisters Maria Eufrocina (Bogota, Colombia) and Yubelina (Cali, Colombia). She is also survived by her grandchildren William, Christian, Jonathan, Susana and 8 more from Colombia and Venezuela also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.), a huge number of nephews and nieces and extended family. Maria will be deeply missed by all her family, her unconditional friend Luis Rios, neighbors, and coworkers ". Wherever you are, you will always be in our hearts." Viewing will be held at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Road, Linwood, New Jersey 08221 on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 20, 10:30 AM at the St. Bernadette's Church/ St. Gianna Parish, New Road, Northfield, Burial to follow at Zion Cemetery in EHT.
