Dear Mr. Doorley,
I want to express my sincere sympathy for your loss of Marilyn. The guest book entries from people who met and knew her are a beautiful testament. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, I wish I could have met you on your visit. Brian told me that the service was beautiful and that he was very impressed with Fr. Creedon's sermon. I attend daily mass at the Chapel at URI, and I know the wonderful sermons that Fr. Creedon delivers. God bless you, and enjoy your visit in RI with your family.

Sincerely,
Mary Ann Mazzone
A good friend of Brian's

Dear Joe and family, I met Marilyn briefly at physical therapy with my granddaughter who has cerebral palsy, and Danielle was in need of a special pillow for her wheelchair. Marilyn heard the conversation and offered to have a friend of hers make the special pillow for her. She made two, and I can only say what gratitude we felt. But from reading her guest book I can see she was a great person. I had the pleasure of having coffee with her one time and I shall always remember her in my prayers and thoughts. She was truly one of a kind. My sympathy to all of you. Rosemarie Giusti, Narragansett,RI

Joe,

My wife Kathy and I were so sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. She was such a great person. When my daughter Lauren was born almost 13 years ago, Marilyn collected money from all of the flaggers on the Main Street project and went out and bought some beautiful “girlie” outfits as a gift. It was very thoughtful and touching. But what really floored me was that at the bottom of the gift bag was a separate gift with boyish wrapping paper. Marilyn said that the last gift was for my son Brendan, Jr. who was 4 years old at the time. She whispered to me that no child should ever be left out. It brought a tear to my eye then and it does again today. God bless Marilyn and may she rest in peace.

I cannot think of my childhood without thinking of my dear friends and blood-sisters, the Donnelly girls. Marilyn will be held high in all our hearts; remembered for her sense of humor, her loyalty as a friend, and a wonderful daughter to her mother.

To you, Marilyn, you were a rebel in your own right...and had the courage to express it! Tell the Lord, I'm not ready for Kathleen Michael or Patty to go yet...I still need time to play with them!

I'm so sorry girls, for this most sad day. I am with you in spirit and will keep you in my prayers.

I love you.
Genuinely,
Janice Kerr LaFlam
