MICHAEL BROWN Obituary
BROWN, MICHAEL D. "POP" "MICKEY" - of Egg Harbor Township, passed away suddenly at home on January 14, 2012. He was born on September 9, 1946 and was raised in Pleasantville. Mickey served proudly in the Navy aboard the USS Randolph C415 from 1965-1967. Mickey married his wife Linda of 29 years, and they then moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL. where they resided for 10 years. In 1987 they decided to move back home to NJ to be with family and friends. When Pop returned to NJ, he began working for MDM Iron Works as a welder, where he continued to work right up until his passing. Anyone who had the privilege to know Mickey, knew he always had a smile on his face and a lot of laughs to share. Pop's biggest joys in life were: eating, crabbing in his boat, NASCAR, rooting for his Chicago Bears, spending time with his family and friends in his redone basement, and working in his garden. Mickey was predeceased by his father, Charles Brown, III. He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Linda Brown (nee Andress); his mother, Blanche Brown; his sisters: Helen (George) Odenbrite, Katherine Brown, and Patsy Mattle; brothers Charlie and Eddie (Jody); his children: Michael Jr. (Aimee), David (Nicole), Jennifer DeLuca (Jack Breslau), and Michael DeLuca; his grandchildren: Airman Anthony DeLuca, Nichola DeLuca, Joe DeLuca, Jacob Breslau, Adam Brown, Justin Brown, and Jaimee Brown; many nieces, nephews, and numerous friends. Mickey will be proudly remembered by his loving in-laws the Andresse's, very special friends Linda and Ralph Collet, and Kim and Mike Rubba. Pop was a friend to all who knew him, and to know him was to love him. R.I.P. in God's loving arms. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 11am at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield. A visitation will be held from 9-11am prior to the service. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Michael to the American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Rd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08034. People say that time heals all wounds but nothing can ever fill the hole you left in our hearts. You were such a great guy and I'll never forget riding to work with you and Linda in Florida , hitting all the pot holes and you putting your fingers on my glasses. When you see Matthew please tell him I love him. I'll miss you but I'll always be there for Linda.

I no u had no idea what facebook was, or how to use it, but just so u no, I have your pics all over my profile. remember New Years Eve when we had so much fun, laughter, dancing and bowling. You gave me the most fun I had in such a long time. I think of u so often during the day and still can't believe u r not with us. I pray with all my heart that when u went to our Lord that u knew how much I loved u and how much I thought of our friendship. My life is forever changed

Lynn, Mike, David, Jen my heart and prayers are with you and your families in your loss of a man so full of life. Uncle Mickey was always willing to go the extra mile to help someone out. How can you sum up such a crazy character like uncle mickey? If you knew him then you know his hands and fingers where always going a mile a minute making silly gestures. Faster then his hands was his signature knee shaking at the table that we all couldn't wait til dinner was over so he would stand up :) I will always remember you taking me fishing .. if that's what you call it cause you did the baiting & fish removal. I will remember you always yelling my name when you would step out the door in Florida right into duck poop cause I was feeding my ducky friends :) To this day I'm thankful you never let me walk off with the strange man at the flea market because I wasn't paying attention and thought his hand was yours. Thank you for taking me on the big rigs and blowing the horn and letting me have a cb handle :) so many memories and so many thank yous. You will be greatly missed but forever remembered.
