April 3, 1953 - October 27, 2025

Minnie C. Piatt passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at her home in Ventnor City, N.J. Born Minnie Charlotte Price in Brooklyn. New York, on April 2, 1953, to Minnie and Stanley Price. Minnie is survived by her husband of 28 years, John Piatt of Ventnor, where together they established their home and enjoyed every moment to the fullest. Minnie loved the many sailings to the Caribbean, the backyard barbeques, and the nights together with John at home. Minnie was a wonderful soul filled with fun and love for her family. Her warm personality blossomed in her work, which was as a food server at Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, where she was honored as Employee of the Year during her time there. Minnie is survived by her son, Jerry Mears (Nicole), Ventnor; daughter-in-law, Stephanie O'Byrne (Matthew), Garnet Valley, PA; grandsons, Matthew Mears, US Navy Overseas, and Declan O'Byrne, Garnet Valley; and granddaughters, Catherine Mears, Ventnor, and Neve O'Byrne, Garnet Valley. Minnie is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Carpenter, of Vancouver, Canada. Donations in Minnie's name may be made in lieu of flowers to St. Jude's Children's Research Center.
