Although we only met Nick a couple of times, we knew his children very well. Dylan is best friends with our son Adam. He is at our house often and is like a second son to us - a kid with a great sense of humor. Jaden and my daughter Mary Rose are also friends - such a sweet girl. Teagan has been in the mix as well over the years - always ready with a hug. Our heart goes out to these kids because they have touched us each in different ways. We our sending our prayers out to Dylan, Jaden, Teagan and the entire DiMeglio family at this time. Sincerely, The Minichino Family - Somers Pt.

At this moment, I know too well the sorrow that fills the heart’s of Nick’s loved ones. For me this is the third untimely passing in a week; first a dear uncle who was like a father, then a precious child still being formed in his mother’s womb, now an old friend whose time has come far too soon. Some will question where is God in the midst of difficult times such as these? I tell you, He is there in the embrace and shared tear of a loved one, in the neighbor who brings a meal, in the friend who encourages you to stay strong, in the smile of a young child that can bring you joy in the darkest of times; He is there. But, deep in your soul you will also hear Him whisper “I am here, I will carry you” At the passing of his friend Lazarus, the shortest verse in the Gospels reads “Jesus wept.” He knows fully the sorrow of the loss of a loved one. His heart breaks over Nick’s passing. To Nick’s family and loved ones, Jesus will provide you the comfort and peace you need at this time. I know Nick’s grandmother knew this truth. I believe his father did too. My prayers are with you.

To Nick’s children, I encourage you to listen to the wisdom that your family shares with you at this difficult time. Do not let your father’s passing make you bitter, but determine in your hearts that you will live a more respectful, more loving, more honest life than you could have ever previously imagined living. If you make this determination today, I know that God will be there to help you achieve all that you dream to achieve and in doing so, you will bring honor both to yourselves and to your father. My prayers are most earnestly for you three.

Nick is a good soul, blessed to have a compassionate family. He is truly an inspiration to us and will NEVER be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the DiMeglio family. May God Bless you and ease your time of sorrow.

Love,
