PATRICK FORTUNA Obituary
FORTUNA, PATRICK J. - passed away on Sept. 11, 2013. He was a former Marine who served in Iraq. He was the grandson of Joseph & Bertha Mavillo of Hammonton and is survived by his Mother, Loretta (Mavillo) Fortuna, his brother Philip Fortuna, Sister-in-law Kristen, nephew Ethan Fortuna & niece Lilia Fortuna, all of Virginia Beach, and a father Joseph Fortuna from Las Vegas. The Military viewing will be at Carnesale Funeral Home 202 S. Third St.,Hammonton Friday Sept 20, 2013 7pm-9pm and on Saturday 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Martin de Porres, 129 Park Ave., Hammonton. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Greenmount Cemetery. www. carnesalefuneralhome.com

I am sorry Fortuna family for your loss. He was an amazing man, friend, brother, son, & uncle.
First I want To say - there is no one who met you who didn't end up loving you. You had a heart of gold. A smile that could light up the night, or brighten even the sunniest day.
You were always there for me- in good times and bad ones. For that I will love you til the end of time. You were my friend my rock, my confidant. You taught me what it was to love and be loved in return. I keep thinking of the last time I saw you in person. I replay that evening over and over in my mind. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect lasting memory of you, I will cherish it forever. I never imagined this happening. I know I will see you again one day, this is not the end. Until then I will enjoy the little things, not take people for granted, love as much and as often as possible, give as much as I can. To take pleasure in all life has to offer & Take advantage of every opportunity to try something new. And to tell you all about it. Rest in Peace love. I know you are protecting and keeping us safe from above. This is not goodbye, but see you later.

Patrick, I was shocked to hear of your passing. You were one of my best friends. We haven't seen each other in a few years, but we always kept in touch. It breaks my heart that you are gone. It is obvious that God needed an angel and he couldn't have picked a better man. I love you sweetie! Rest in peace! I am praying for your family!

I am deeply saddened by the news of Patrick's passing. He was a big part of my life. I will always remember the good that he had brought upon my life as well as others. Nevertheless, I will always remember him. I hope he may finally find peace and have the ability protect those who he loves from above. I send my condolences to his mother and the rest of his family.
