Paul Allegretto Obituary
Born in Ocean City, N.J. to the late Michael and Candita (nee Iacono) Allegretto.
Paul was a graduate of Ocean City High School class of 1958, while attending he excelled in both football and basketball.
He worked as a Barber at Ernie's Barber Shop in Ocean City and later opened his own barber shop with his nephew John Michael.
Paul later changed careers and joined the maintenance department of the Garden State Parkway where he worked for many years before his retirement.
He was well known as the "Macaroon Man", having his own bake kitchen and working many long hours making and delivering the best macaroons in Cape May County.
Paul enjoyed the game of golf and played in the Men's League at Avalon Golf Club for the past 13 years.
He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and being outdoors. He was a very fun loving and active man right up to the time of his passing.
He was a people person, talked to anyone that would listen, he had a great sense of humor and made even strangers laugh.
Paul is survived by his long-time love Trish of 19 years, his sons Brian (Lydia) Allegretto and Steven Allegretto and three grandchildren Daniel (Angela), Zoey, Sydney and many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.
Paul is also preceded by his Parents and his son Paul Allegretto Jr., and his siblings. Rose Bello (Anthony), Michael Allegretto (Faith), Lucy Herrington (James), Andrew AKA Swifty Allegretto (Madeline) Anna Manni (John).
A Time for Family and Friends to Share Memories of Paul will be held Thursday evening June 15, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday June 16, 2023 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at The Godfrey Funeral Home in Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ. Burial will be private.
The family is requesting in lieu of flowers a memorial donation TO: CMC Chamber Education Foundation, 13 Crest Haven Road, PO Box 74, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 (Fore Education Gold Tournament Scholarships) Checks payable to CMC Chamber Education Foundation

Sadly, I only just became aware of Paul's passing. My deepest condolences go out to his family. Paul was a very kind and loving man. He had the most profound affect on my life and for that, he will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Paul.
