PETER JOSEPH SAVARD

SAVARD, PETER JOSEPH - 62 - of Wildwood passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on January 30, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Pete is survived by his wife Kathy (Singer) of 33 years; daughter Kara (Nathan Delpino); sons Peter and Corey; grandchildren Ava and Chase and numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. Pete was born and raised in Montreal where he graduated from Sir George Williams University with a degree in history before making Wildwood his home in 1972. He began his trade on Fun Pier before he became a master carpenter in Cape May. His work and passion for building will be a living presence in the homes he built and work he did throughout the area. Pete's passions included being involved in his kids sports activities, especially baseball, where he dedicated himself to the kids and well being of sports in the area. He also loved boat building, rowing, and most of all hanging out with the boys at Roseman's Boatyard. Pete will be remembered as one of the good guys. He was a hard worker, an amazing father, a loyal friend, a man of his word, and the most giving person you could know. Pete would want us all to remember that, "We all need saving from something. You'll only save yourself if you save someone else." A memorial mass will be held at 11am Monday, February 4th at St. Ann's Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood where friends may call from 9-10:45am in the church.
