I have not seen or heard from Peter in over 40 years. In a way we all became family in those Wildwood Days and now part of that family is gone.

I was so sorry to hear about Peter. My deepest sympathy to all of you. I met Peter many, many years ago (1970) when he was living with his friends Donna Roveda and Mike Gracie (my future and now ex-husband) in Wildwood Crest. Those many years ago he was a quiet, lifelong learner and avid reader who took the time to suggest to me many books and authors most notably at that time Kafka and Kazantzakis. He was without a doubt the most intelligent, sincere, humble and patient person I had ever known. His smile could light up a room. Although I haven't seen him in many years and our families never got to meet, I think of him every time I hear the song Working Class Hero which was a favorite of his. I bet Pete and his old buddy Doug Lukian are swapping their building stories and having a great conversation as I write this. My prayers are with you Savard family.

Dear Kathy, Kara, PJ and Corey:
We are so sorry for you at the loss of Peter. He was such a wonderful person. I can remember so many great times with him and our family growing up . I remember went he visited us in Alabama. He had this book that he read every spare moment ( when he and dad weren't up to something...like playing a joke on mom or one of the boys..)I asked him about it and he said this is a very hard and sad story that one day you should read. He was right it was the Holocaust...He was one of dads favorite people and we will miss him. May God give you peace that Peter is with him in Heaven.
Love to you all Debbie Fiala Davis
