Raymond Maguire Obituary

Raymond F. Maguire, long-time resident of Galloway, New Jersey and recent resident of Sewickley, Pennsylvania passed away on September 1, 2025, at the age of 75 from the complications of Alzheimer's Disease. He is survived by Jeannie, his beloved wife of 29 years and his three children, son Raymond (Christin) Maguire, son Ryan (Anne) Maguire, and daughter Caitlin (Aaron) Griffith. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren Finn, Reese, Nicholas, Alexander, Nora, Cameron, and Holland.

Ray graduated from Ryder University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and obtained his license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), beginning a 50+ year career as a renown CPA in the Atlantic City, New Jersey area, eventually expanding to Florida providing tax, financial, and strategic services to numerous businesses and industries. He served in the US Army Reserves from 1970 to 1977.

In his youth Ray resided in Miami, Florida with his mother and father, spending most of his summers with his sister's family on Long Island, New York enjoying the adventures of sailing, motor boating, clamming, lifeguarding, the beach, and becoming an accomplished surfer and snow skier, in addition to being an avid traveler.

In his later youth Ray moved to Greenlawn, New York with his mother and father. He graduated high school there at Harborfields High School. After graduation he embarked on a summer's backpack tour of Europe.

Throughout his life Ray was a gentle soul who will be remembered for his compassionate spirit and devotion to family, friends, and clients.

A viewing will be held on September 5, 2025, from 6-8 pm at Schellhaas & Sons Funeral Home, 1600 Stone Mansion Drive, Sewickley, Pennsylvania 15143. Mass will be held at St. John and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Sewickley, Pennsylvania on September 6, 2025, at 1pm.


Donations to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. Ray will be laid to rest at Ingomar Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
