W. Leroy Booth

BOOTH, W. LEROY, 86 - of Ocean City, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point. Born in Upper Darby, PA, he was an Ocean City resident for most of his life. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Marines where he participated in action at Guadalcanal. Mr. Booth worked in the building business for 32 years and was a licensed real estate agent with Hager Real Estate in Ocean City. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty (Hager) Booth, parents, Wilfred Irwel and Helen (Moses) Booth, his siblings, George Irwel Booth, Mabel Gertrude Booth, Stanley Booth, Ralph Raymond Rumer, Herbert Charles Rumer, Edwin Alfred Rumer, Blanche Ethel Rumer, Margaret Evelyn Muller, Helen Sarah Johnson, and his granddaughter, Lindsey Che- shire. Surviving are a son, Richard Booth and his wife Debbie of Ocean City, a daughter, Marilyn Adams and her husband Rick of Ocean City, his companion Marie McIntyre, five grandchildren, Brooks Brydges, Kelly Brydges, Michele Booth Kreisman, Eric Richard Booth, Ashley Madden, two great grandchildren, Allison Kreisman, Riley Madden, a brother, William "Bud" Booth of Abington, PA, a sister, Betty Booth Bevan of Ocean City. His funeral service will be offered Saturday, today, at 12 o'clock noon from St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Eighth Street at Central Avenue, Ocean City, where friends may call from 10 o'clock until the time of service. Burial will follow in Seaside Cemetery, Palermo.
