William John Dietrich III

1957 - 2022

Dietrich, William John III, - of Ventnor, went home to the Lord, November 1st, 2022. Bill leaves us much too soon. He was 65 years old. Born in Binghamton, New York, Bill grew up in Levittown and Langhorne PA. He graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1975. Bill graduated from Trenton State College 1979 with a degree in Criminal Justice. Bill also graduated from Widener University's School of Law with a degree of Juris Doctor in 1983. He practiced Family Law in New Jersey for over 37 years. Bill relocated to the Jersey Shore in the early 1980's, living in Brigantine, Margate and Ventnor. He loved everything outdoors, hiking, boating, fishing, skiing, frisbee golf, beach volleyball with his brothers, playing softball, etc. Bill was also a huge Philadelphia sports fan, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He was also a big music fan, loved the beach concerts and the Grateful Dead, enjoyed a good cigar, and loved bonfires. Bill was a wonderful man, always helping those in need. He loved life and lived it on his terms. Bill was preceded in death by his father, William Dietrich, Jr., sister Donna Dietrich, brother Andrew Dietrich, maternal grandparents Mortimer and Honour McCabe, paternal grandparents William and Doris Dietrich, Aunt Lynne and Uncle Joe Ambrosino. He is survived by his mother Olivia Dietrich, stepmother Maryanne Dietrich, sister Dwynie Dietrich Arleth (Dave), sister Lori Dietrich, brothers Kurt Dietrich and Greg Bills, stepsister Michelle Murray and stepbrother Michael Murray (Cindy). Bill also leaves behind saddened nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loyal and awesome friends. Bill's family would like to thank the staff at AtlantiCare for their wonderful care and compassion for Bill during his time there. The family would also like to thank Bill's friends, frank and Marina, Dr. Raymond Malta, Scott and Angie, Donna, and Rick Malta. There will be a Celebration of Bill's life on November 12, 2022 from 1pm to 4pm at the Somers Point Volunteer Fire Company No.1, 447 Bethel Rd., Somers Point, NJ 08244. Arrangements by the George H.
