77, of Park Falls, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, December 23, 2023.
She was born on March 21, 1946 to Martin and Carol Honaker in Illinois.
Pam moved to her farm in Butternut in 1996 where she cared for many animals. She married Michael Birchmeier and was blessed to gain a large family with many children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews whom she loved to spend time with. She worked as a security guard at the Park Falls mill for a short period of time. Pam was a devout Catholic. She was also an avid gardener. Before Catkins opened, Pam spent her free time unofficially running her own animal shelter by driving around in her van and picking up animals who needed homes. She would act as their foster home until she found the perfect forever home. Pam enjoyed spending her time with her family, friends, and dogs telling jokes and sharing treats.
Pam is survived by her brother Martin (Kathleen) Honaker and many step-children, grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Birchmeier; her previous husband, Arthur DeBardeleben; her father, Martin Honaker; her mother, Carol Honaker; and her brother, Charles (Chucky) Honaker.
Pam's final wishes included having no funeral arrangements. She will be buried in Lakeside Cemetery in Phillips.
Memorials or donations may be made to Catkins.
