The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at the J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, where services will be streamed live at www.jmwilkersonsince1874.com.
Honorary and active pallbearers are asked to assemble 11:30 a.m. at the church.
The family will assemble 11 a.m. at 13413 Prince George Drive, Disputanta, the day of the services.

Dr. Albert Thweatt was a TRUE example of love for me. As a young country girl from Disputanta, Va. I had the pledge to stop my his home for a meal and some good long term knowledge and wisdom. I treasured his friendship and the love of his family. Dr. Albert wanted all people to succeed in their challenge and become a winner. I am so honored to had a chance to know the inner man and not just the surface man. His message I will remember is " Know me by my spirit not my flesh and grow. Mrs. Thweatt, I am so sadden to have heard of Mr. Thweatt passing. He truly had a big heart. When my grandfather (William B. Peterson), informed Mr. Thweatt I was unemployed after graduating from VSU. He opened that door and gave me employment until I found a job. I was truly blessed to have known him. Beginning in the second grade at Arlington Elementary School he taught this little shy girl to play the clarinet and I became his first chair player. While attending non-intergrated schools in Hopewell,he always inspired me to be the best. He told me that one day I would understand, and now I understand. Everytime I set out to achieve something in my life I'd always think about the wind beneath my wings,Dr.Thweatt eventhough at the time he just Mr. Thweatt to me.
