I didn't know Mrs. Jones but after reading her biography it would have been nice to slow down and say hi. As inspiring as her story is here I can only imagine how much more joyous it would have been from her! She has touched so many lives, directly and indirectly, I know she is missed and will be loved forever.

To Laverne Venable and family, Mrs Jones taught me in elementary school in Wakefeild Va, what a blessing to see that the Lord allowed her so many years to enjoy her family and to share her gift with others. Mrs Jones never allowed me to say that something was too hard or that I couldn't do it. She would tell me,"Delores the only thing on this earth that you can't do is accept defeat". She always made me want to try harder because I knew that she believed in me, our children need teachers like her today. Be Blessed.
