AUBREY T. PENNINGTON SR.

Aubrey Tucker Pennington Sr., 91, formerly of Petersburg and Dinwiddie, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, William W. and Lillian Aldhizer Pennington; his loving wife, Ruth Stables Pennington; five brothers; and five sisters. Aubrey retired from Petersburg Public School System as a Principal. He served on the Dinwiddie Chamber of Commerce and helped develop business opportunities in Dinwiddie County, and was also a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. Aubrey was a former member of St. Marks and a current member of Kenwood.

He is survived by his daughter, Paige P. Hannuksela and her husband, Glenn of Matoaca; son, A. Tucker Pennington Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Flintstone, Ga.; grandchildren, Gracie Anne Hannuksela, Hannah Ruth Pennington, Glenn Allen Hannuksela Jr. and his wife, Katie and Aubrianna Kate Pennington; great-grandchildren, Savannah Marie Grace and Jase Liam Hannuksela.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at Kenwood United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at the church.
