CARROLL THOMPSON Obituary

Carroll "Sonny" Thompson, 74 died January 1, 2021 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents Carroll and Myrtle Thompson; sister, Delores Brock; brother-in-law, Jack Brock and his wife, Frances Bryant Thompson.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Douglas and brother-in-law, Larry Douglas.
Sonny was born in Petersburg, VA and worked his way through college as a drummer in a band. He retired as a civil engineer for the city of Petersburg after 32 years service and was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.
Sonny enjoyed travel, music and being with family and friends. He will really be missed, especially for his sense of humor.
Private interment will be held at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren, AR at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Sonny's memory may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Foundation, 206 W. Johnson, Springdale, AR 72764.

Worked with Sonny for many years when we both worked for the city of Petersburg. Talked occasionally after we retired, and he moved away. May he Rest In Peace.
