DARRELL HARRELSON Obituary
Born in Blackwell, Okla., he was preceded in death by his parents, Denver E. and Bessie Harrelson, and a brother, Neil Harrelson. A 22-year veteran of the U.S. Army with service in Vietnam, Darrell later owned the Country House Restaurant in Fredonia.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Edith; two brothers, Gary Harrelson, and Bill Harrelson and wife, Sandie; two stepchildren, Betsy Stafford and husband, Barry, and Dr. Philip Murray; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Aug. 24, at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. A graveside funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Friday in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, with the Rev. Harry Bowman officiating. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
