Donald Tipton Obituary

Donald Edward Tipton, 65, of Hopewell, passed away on Jan. 3, 2013.

He was the son of the late Booth and Ruth Tipton. Donald was also preceded in death by a brother, John Tipton.

He was a proud member of the VFW Post 10387 and the American Legion Post 146.

Donald is survived by his loving wife, Ola Tipton; son, Donald Scott Tipton; step-son, Dwayne Tharp and his wife, Paige; three grandchildren, Christian, Elizabeth, and Chandler; sister, Vernell Wright and her husband, Jimmy; four nephews, Troy Tipton and his wife Dana, Karl Gupton and his wife, Allison, Shane Tipton, and Wade Wright; four great-nieces and nephews, Megan, Kalen, Dillon, and Zach.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Prince George Emergency Crew, P.O. Box 308 Prince George, VA 23875. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
