Crossing the Bar

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,

But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.

Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;

For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

Stephanie, Nicole, and Family,

I share in your sorrow.

I will admit that I felt a little guilt when Sis told me that Dot had passed -- especially since I was never able to get Dot back over here to stay with us again. But we sure had lots of fun when she did stay. And I never got to see her new house with her. Praise God, I will get to see the new home (God's Kingdom) she has now!

As you know well, Dot and I go a long way back. We use to have some good times back-in-the-day. Those times still make me laugh. We made good memories that I will forever hold dear! I know that you will also cherish your Mom's loving memories for your own joy. Everybody who knew Dot, knows that she loved her family unconditionally.

So the only thing we can do now is just allow Jesus (the Living Word of God) to guide us in our sorrow. In order for this to happen , we have to just rise up, shake ourselves, and praise God for allowing Dot to have touched our lives in so many good ways-- my friend and your mom and your family member! And when we praise Him, we have no doubt that as the praises go up, the blessings come down. Then through Christ Jesus, God will walk right into the midst of our sorrow and say, "Let it be."

And we are confident that He hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases Him. And since we know He hears us when we make our requests, we also know that He will give us what we ask for.
(1 John 5: 14, 15 NLT)

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
(John 16:33 NLT)

Family
While Mrs. Dot (as I've always called her) has traveled the path we all must, know that she has lived life to her fullest, opening her arms to eternal life. She has a new address in Gods' kingdom with her own winged white robe to sing in the choir and there is no pain. While tears may fall in the night know that joy will arrive in the morning! Morning is here, take the memories of her favorite saying, color and song keeping near in your heart and mind. Mainly remember the love that she had for her family.
