Frances Jenks Obituary

Frances Jenks, 85, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Colonial Heights Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Petersburg, daughter of the late James B. and Emma Lucas Taylor. Frances grew up in Petersburg and raised three wonderful children. She was a loving grandmother and a lifetime member of Blandford United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband and the love of her life, William B. Jenks, and granddaughter, Amee Jenks.

Frances is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sharon J. Veazey (Keith) of Carson and Mrs. Rita S. Lane (Bill) of Colonial Heights; one son, William B. Jenks Jr. (Wendy) of Pleasant View, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, in the funeral home chapel with burial at Bandford Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donation can be made to the American Cancer Society/Petersburg Unit Wesy Chappell, 1117 Fort Hayes Drive, Petersburg, VA 23805. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
