GEORGE FAUNTLEROY Obituary
George Jr. and his family were members of the Unity Tabernacle Church in Surry County.
He is survived by his father, George Sr. mother, Louise, and his devoted wife of 16 years, Denisha, one daughter, Jasmin and one son, George III, mother in law, Benita Payne, father in law, William Emerson, extended in laws Karen and Ronald Smiley, and Lydell Payne, Sr., God brother, William "Boo" Miller, III, best friend Rick Armstead, a number of brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11am Thursday November 7, 2019, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church 5783 Colonial Trail, Surry VA 23883. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 4-7 pm with a wake service from 6-7pm at Mount Nebo. For more information please visit www.shiversfuneralchapel.com.

Mr. & Mrs. Fauntleroy, words cannot express the condolences I have in my heart right now as you lay your son to rest. I only KNOW that "GOD IS!" And, I KNOW that LOVE CONQUERS ALL! Additionally, I know that your son touched "MANY" lives across the community of Surry County and so many other places that he attended school, worked or fellowshipped. I know that GOD will ease the pain and that HE loves you ALL so very much!!
I am so thankful for the both of you coming to Surry County and for having such a very special son to share with us. My deepest condolences to his wife Denisha, daughter Jasmin and son George III. We are so very sorry for your loss. May the love you have in your heart for him and all the beautiful memories help to keep his strong legacy. We LOVE you all and our prayers are with you.

To the sweet parents, loving wife & precious children of Deac. Fauntleroy whom I have already begun to sadly miss knowing I won't see that unchanging warm smile & the pleasant conversations we had after services & in passing. I can't find the words although I've tried in order to express the sorrow that filled my heart. But I have not ceased from praying for all of you in the Spirit, as I know prayers can do & say what the Spirit knows is needed even when we know not what to say. George (GJ) was a flower in God's Garden. At the moment of the car crash, God plucked GJ out of His Garden to add to His Eternal Family. Based on GJ's life, actions and love, we can rejoice for we will see him one day in our Heavenly Home. We all loved GJ, but God loved in more.

What an amazing friend/brother/co-worker. George touched the hearts of everyone. It was a privilege to have experienced that warm heart and smile he ALWAYS displayed. A true example of what it meant to be kind and genuine. George mentored young men for over a decade, changing lives and proving that anything is possible for them young men as the entered adulthood. Words cannot express the sorrow and pain that stem from this loss, but my brother did his work here and now he is our beautiful angel. My prayers and condolences go out to his beautiful wife and children.

When I think of George I think of how genuine and sweet he was. He loved his family, music and other people and exhibited that by consistently being of service to others.
