Ginger Jones Obituary

Ms. Ginger Lee Jones, 41, of 3915 Pruett Drive, Hopewell, departed this life on Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Johnston Willis Hospital, Richmond.

She was born to the late Julius and Otelia Jackson Jones. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Carolyn Hunt, Delores Williams, and brother, Cleofus Jackson.

Ms. Jones was a 1987 graduate of Prince George High School and recieved her bachelor's degree in business administration from Strayer University in 2009.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of First Baptist Church, Disputanta.

Left to cherish her memories are: her loving and devoted daugher Essence Jones; brother, Frank Jackson (Belinda) of Upper Marlboro, Md.; one aunt, Esther Jones Parham; two devoted cousins, Zatella and Dexter Taylor; devoted friend, John Anthony Shamberger; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held noon on Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011, at the Chapel of William N. Bland & Son Funeral Home, Petersburg. Elder Michael L. Wyche will officiate. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery Petersburg. The family will assemble one hour prior to service at her residence and pallbearers are asked to assemble at the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the service.
