Gloria Parham Obituary
Petersburg - And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the dormer things are passed away. Revelations 24:4 Ms. Gloria Dean Parham, (79), affectionately known as "Dean", of 522 Walnut Street Petersburg, entered eternal rest August 16, 2021. Gloria was born January 1, 1942. Ms. Parham graduated from Peabody High School Class of 1960. Ms. Parham was an active member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church where she served on the Flower Guild Ministry she also served as the Church Sexton for 18 years. Gloria was preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Harris Perry; her father, Raymond Harris and her grandparents, Rosa and Fred Goff. She leaves to cherish her devoted son, Alphonso Parham (LaNette) of Chesterfield;a loving and devoted daughter, Angela White (Steven) of Chester; grandchildren, Reginald Massenburg, Jr. (Ashley) of Colonial Heights, Shontaè Wade of Daleville, Alonzo Parham and Lorenzo Parham both of Chesterfield; great grandchildren whom she adored, Hannah Massenburg and Jaiden Massenburg; devoted cousin, Crystal Hines, Mary Taylor, Lee Taylor, Rosa Mae Tucker, Yvonne Coleman, Mona Battle, Barbara Tucker; devoted friends, The Bailey Family, The Coles Family, The Harris Family, The Brown Family, The Wade Family, The Williams Family, The Edmonds Family, The Epps Family, The Curtis Family and the G-Block Family; and a host other relatives and friends. A special thank you to Dr. Gibson and Davita Dialysis of Petersburg, Dr. Ojediran, VCU Health and Hospice of Virginia. Services will be held 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Chapel of J. M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, VA, Bishop Jeffrey L. Reaves, Sr., eulogist and Pastor Kim White, officiating.
