GREGORY FRANCIS PEARSON

Gregory Francis Pearson, 83, of Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late John Pearson and Grace Murray Pearson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathleen Pearson; and brothers, John Pearson and David Pearson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Pat Pearson; his children, Gregory Pearson and his wife, Monica, Mary Gerber and her husband, John, and Mark Pearson and his fiancée, Lelia Lukomski; grandchildren, Anna Bedal, Sarah Bedal, Gianna Pearson, and Macy Pearson; brother, Frank Pearson.

Gregory was a graduate of St. Peters Prep High School and College of St. Peters in NJ. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army having served one tour during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Europe for several years. He retired after many years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel. Following his military career he worked for the Department of Defense, Fort Lee, VA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Petersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at a later date at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W.
