JABRIL M. WILLIAMS

1988 - 2017

On Monday, May 29, 2017, our beloved Jibril Malik Williams, 29, of 1744 Lamar Avenue, Petersburg, Va., departed this earth in search of a more peaceful existence. Jibril was born on January 29, 1988, to Thomas and Emma Williams. Jibril was the "baby boy" of his family, fun loving, kind and a great father. He was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Prince George, Va.

Jibril was preceded in death by his brother, Kermit Hewlett; grandfathers, Linwood Wilson and Eddie Williams.

He leaves to remember him always, his loving daughter, Loriasia Malika Beasley (whom he was very proud of for her stellar academic performance) and her mother, Loretta Beasley. He also leaves a very devoted and patient mother, Emma Williams of Petersburg; father, Thomas Williams and his wife, Darlene of Dinwiddie; as well as seven brothers, Adonis Hewlett and Samiri Williams (Ukeisha), both of Hopewell, Bilal Williams (Denise) of Henrico, Fareed Williams (Veronica), Samir Williams, Shakir Williams, Anwar-el Williams (Alicia), all of Petersburg and Mario Goodwyn of Georgia; two sisters, Simone Williams and Destiny Williams of Dinwiddie; grandmothers, Dorothy Williams of Petersburg and Virginia Wilson-Jones of Hopewell; twenty-four nieces and nephews, Antonio Hewlett, Darius Brown, Rayquan Williams, Joshua Cole, Malachi Williams, Karleeto Quarles, Travayah Brandon, Camarion Williams, Zariana Williams, Khaleel Williams, Deontae Dandridge, Jalen Miller, Bralen Miller, Shaliyah Stith, Shamia Stith, Shymaya Stith, Zaniya Williams, Zariyah Williams, Jahlil Williams, Gashiyah Williams, Zaaiel Williams, Deari Williams, Zyahi Williams and Taliyah Williams. In addition he leaves devoted friends, Shana Giles, Shervon Brown and Juan Harris; eleven aunts, eight uncles and several cousins too numerous to name, to hold close his precious memory.

Services for Mr. Jibril M. Williams will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at the Chapel of J.M. Wilkerson Funeral Establishment, Inc., 102 South Avenue, Petersburg, Va., the Rev. Herbert Holly II, Pastor of St. John Baptist Church, Stony Creek, eulogist. Interment to follow at Wilkerson Memorial Cemetery.
